Slice baguette into portions
Add generous amount of butter to a large frypan
Medium heat, make sure butter does not burn
Add generous amount of maple syrup
flip bread repeatedly until golden brown
Add butter and maple syrup as needed
Remove from pan
Top with soft cheese slices
Serve warm or cold
